  • vanilla extract - 2 tsp
  • butter - 14 Tbsp
  • pecan halves - 2 c
  • dark corn syrup - 1 c
  • packed light brown sugar - 2 c
  • almonds - 2 c
  • boxes Crispix cereal - 2 oz

How to make sweet crispix mix:

Preheat oven to 250°. Combine cereal, pecans and almonds in a roasting pan, sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Melt butter in a medium saucepan. Add brown sugar, stirring until dissolved. Stir in corn syrup. Bring to a boil, over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture; toss to coat. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on 10 x 15-inch baking sheets. Cool. Break into large pieces. Store in airtight container.
