Sweet and sour pork chops



  • cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
  • vegetable oil - 1 item
  • firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped onions - 1/4 c
  • center cut pork chops - 6 item
  • thinly sliced carrot - 1 c
  • green pepper rings - 1 item
  • chicken flavor bouillon - 1 item
  • lemon juice condensed - 1/2 c
  • can pineapple chunks in heavy syrup, drained and reserving syrup - 1 oz

How to make sweet and sour pork chops:

Heat oven to 350°. In large ovenproof skillet, brown chops in oil. Remove from skillet; pour off fat in skillet. Combine lemon juice and cornstarch; mix well. Add sugar, onion, soy sauce, bouillon and reserved syrup. Cook and stir until slightly thickened and bouillon is dissolved. Add pork chops and carrots; cover. Bake 1 hour or until tender. Add pineapple; cover and bake 10 minutes. Garnish with green peppers. Serve with rice if desired.
