Ingredients/Components
- cooked chopped meat
- oil for meat - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- can chunk pineapple - 1 3/4
- barbecue sauce - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2 Tbsp
- medium green pepper, cut in strips - 1 item
- rice or noodles - 1 item
How to make sweet and sour pork:
Brown meat in oil; season with salt and pepper. Drain pineapple, reserving the liquid. Add enough water to make 3/4 cup liquid. Stir liquid and barbecue sauce onto meat. Cover and simmer 45 to 50 minutes or until tender.Blend cornstarch and water into meat. Cook until thickened. Add pineapple and green peppers. Serve over rice or noodles. Can substitute with chicken or beef as desired.
