Sweet and sour pork
Ingredients/Components
- lean pork cubed - 3 lb
- green peppers, cut in strips - 3 item
- cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
- medium mild onions, sliced - 2 item
- to 20 cherry tomatoes - 16 item
- can sweet gherkins, cut in chunks - 1 item
- can pineapple chunks, drained - 1 item
- pineapple juice - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
How to make sweet and sour pork:
Brown pork in skillet, cover and simmer with a little water about one hour. Saute peppers and onions until tender. Add cherry tomatoes, gherkins and pineapple chunks. Mix together cornstarch, pineapple juice, vinegar, soy sauce and brown sugar. Add to vegetables and meat, cook over low heat, stirring until thick.
