Sweet and sour pork
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 3 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 item
- water - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- egg yolk - 1 item
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- carrots, sliced thin - 2 item
- small can chunk pineapple - 1 item
- pork, cut in bite size pieces
- Sauce: juice from pineapple
- green pepper, cut in pieces - 1 item
How to make sweet and sour pork:
Sauce: juice from pineapple3 Tbsp. brown sugar2 Tbsp. soy sauce3 Tbsp. vinegar2 Tbsp. water1 Tbsp. cornstarch Salt and pepper pork; let marinate in 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Add egg yolk and some cornstarch to coat meat. Deep fat fry pork for 10 minutes or until done; drain.Drain pineapple juice into a bowl and add brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, water and cornstarch. Stir-fry carrots and peppers in 2 tablespoons oil. Add pineapple and meat. Gradually add sauce. Cook over medium heat and stir until it thickens. Serve with rice.
