Sweet and sour meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- cornstarch - 1 item
- water - 1 c
- oil - 1 item
- vinegar - 1 c
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- bread crumbs - 1 c
- chopped almonds - 1/2 c
- large can pineapple chunks - 1 item
- dashes Tabasco sauce - 2 item
- lean ground pork
- dashes nutmeg - 2 item
- Roll in cornstarch
How to make sweet and sour meatballs:
Combine all ingredients and form into small balls. Roll in cornstarch. Brown slowly in oil for 20 minutes on low heat. Can be made ahead and frozen. Make Sauce.Sauce:1 c. pineapple juice1 large can pineapple chunks1 c. vinegar1 c. water1 1/2 c. sugar1/2 c. soy sauce4 Tbsp. cornstarch Mix sauce ingredients and cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
