Sweet-and-sour meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- water - 1/3 c
- vinegar - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 4 tsp
- catsup - 2/3 c
- melted shortening - 3 tsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- uncooked oatmeal - 1/2 c
How to make sweet-and-sour meatballs:
Combine beef, oats, milk, onion, pepper and salt. Mix well. Shape into about 30 small balls. Brown in hot shortening; drain. Combine catsup, Worcestershire, vinegar, sugar and water; mix well. Pour sauce over meatballs. Simmer 30 minutes over low. Heat until ready to serve.Recipe categories: Meat, Ground beef, Beef.
