Sweet and sour green beans
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- slices bacon, cooked and crumbled - 4 item
- green beans, french style, drained and rinsed - 16 oz
How to make sweet and sour green beans:
Fry bacon crisp. Remove from skillet; saute onion in bacon drippings. Remove all but 1 to 2 tablespoons of bacon drippings. Add vinegar and sugar. Add drained and rinsed green beans. Simmer until most of liquid is gone. Add bacon, toss and serve.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low cholesterol, Vegetables.
