Sweet and sour cole slaw
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Dijon mustard - 2 tsp
- white wine vinegar - 1/4 c
- olive oil - 1/2 c
- carrots, grated - 2 item
- small onion, minced - 1 item
- head cabbage - 1 medium
- red bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
How to make sweet and sour cole slaw:
Shred cabbage in process mixer the thinness you wish or shred by hand or large grater. Mix cabbage, chopped pepper, minced onion and carrots in bowl. In small bowl whisk together vinegar, sugar, mustard, salt and pepper for about 1 minute until sugar dissolves. Whisk in vegetable and olive oil until well mixed. Refrigerate at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours. Makes 6 to 8 servings.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Lactose Free.
