Sweet and sour bean salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 2/3 c
- salad oil - 1/3 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- small green pepper - 1 item
- small onion - 1 item
- can dark red kidney beans - 1 item
- can cut green beans - 1 item
- can cut yellow beans optional - 1 item
How to make sweet and sour bean salad:
Drain liquid from the 3 cans of beans and put beans in a large bowl. Chop pepper and onion fine. Mix chopped vegetables with beans. In a separate bowl, mix all remaining ingredients. Pour over bean combination and refrigerate several hours or overnight, until vegetables take on a good sweet and sour flavor.Serve cold. Makes 8 to 10 servings. If you omit the yellow beans, add another can of kidney beans.
