Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • powdered sugar
  • can of crushed pineapple do not drain - 1 oz
  • Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased pan

How to make swedish nut cake:

Mix dry ingredients and add vanilla, nuts and pineapple. Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes in 350° oven.Topping:1 stick oleo1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. nuts1 1/3 c. powdered sugar1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese Mix and spread on cake when completely cool.

This is a moist cake and does not have any shortening. Many think there is an omission.
