Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- nuts - 1/2 c
- powdered sugar
- can of crushed pineapple do not drain - 1 oz
- Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased pan
How to make swedish nut cake:
Mix dry ingredients and add vanilla, nuts and pineapple. Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes in 350° oven.Topping:1 stick oleo1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. nuts1 1/3 c. powdered sugar1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese Mix and spread on cake when completely cool.This is a moist cake and does not have any shortening. Many think there is an omission.
