Swedish meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- sour cream - 1 pt
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/4 lb
- nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- bread crumbs - 1 c
- parsley - 1 tsp
- finely chopped onion - 1/4 c
- ground pork - 1/2 lb
- ground veal - 1/2 lb
How to make swedish meatballs:
Mix first 9 ingredients together thoroughly; mixture may be soft. Form into small balls and cook in 1/4 lb. butter. When browned well, remove from pan. In butter remaining in pan, add 1/4 cup flour, and 1 pint sour cream. Stir well, scraping up all browned bits at bottom of pan. Add 1 teaspoon parsley. Return meatballs to pan and heat thoroughly.
