Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- fine dry bread crumbs - 1/4 c
- ground allspice - 1/3 c
- minced onion - 1/4 c
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- lean ground beef - 1 lb
- can condensed cream of celery soup - 1 1/2
- minced dill pickle - 2 Tbsp
- soup can water - 1/2 item
- about 2 sprinkles nutmeg - 1/6 tsp
How to make swedish meatballs:
Mix beef, bread crumbs, onion, parsley, salt, sugar, allspice, nutmeg and egg. Form into 24 meatballs; brown in butter. Pour off excess drippings. Stir in soup, water and minced pickle. Cover and cook over low heat 20 minutes, stirring often.Note: Serve with confetti rice.
