Swedish meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2/3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- hot water - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- fine dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- grated onion - 2 Tbsp
How to make swedish meatballs:
Mix beef, bread crumbs, egg, milk, onion, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Shape into balls and let stand 30 minutes. Brown in hot oil. Add water and simmer 20 minutes. Add soup and cook 10 minutes. Yields 6 servings.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Ground beef, Beef.
