Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 3 Tbsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- diced apples - 3 c
- dash of cloves - 1 item
How to make swedish apple cake:
Topping:3 Tbsp. butter, softened3 Tbsp. milk2 Tbsp. brown sugar Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, salt and vanilla. Sift spices and soda into flour; add to sugar mixture. Add apples and nuts. Mix well. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes in a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Mix topping ingredients; spoon over cake. Return to oven for 25 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Apple.
