Summer sausage
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- onion powder - 1/2 tsp
- liquid smoke - 1/2 tsp
- cup water - 1 item
- mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- tender quick salt - 3 Tbsp
- hamburger or venison - 2 lbs
- dozen peppercorns - 1 item
How to make summer sausage:
Mix all ingredients with water and pour over hamburger and mix well. Make into rolls and wrap in heavy aluminum foil and refrigerate for 24 hours.Remove from the refrigerator. Poke holes thru foil with toothpick. Bake on rack for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350°.
