  • water - 1 c
  • pepper - 1 Tbsp
  • garlic salt
  • ground beef - 5 lb
  • onion powder - 2 Tbsp
  • liquid smoke - 2 Tbsp
  • mustard seed - 2 Tbsp
  • Morton Tender Quick salt - 5 Tbsp

How to make summer sausage:

Mix together and refrigerate for 4 days. Mix each day and add small amount of water. On fourth day, form into pound rolls and wrap in foil (shiny side in). Place in low pan and add 1/2-inch water in pan and bake for 90 minutes at 325°. Keep refrigerated.
