  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 4 c
  • oil - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • powdered sugar - 1 c
  • cream of tartar - 1 tsp
  • white sugar - 1 c

How to make sugar cookies:

Mix together shortening, oil and sugar. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients and mix. Add vanilla. You can divide dough and add chips, coconut, nuts, etc. Form into balls and press down with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Makes 50 to 60 cookies.
