Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- cream of tartar - 1 tsp
- beaten eggs - 2 item
How to make sugar cookies:
Put butter and vanilla in bowl. Attach bowl and flat beater. Turn to speed 6 and cream until smooth, 2 minutes. Gradually add 3/4 cup sugar for 30 seconds; continue beating for 1 minute. Add eggs and beat 30 seconds. Scrape bowl. Sift dry ingredients together. Do stir speed and gradually add dry ingredients until mixed, 1 minute.Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet, about 3-inches apart. Bake at 400° for 6 to 8 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar while still hot.
