Sugar cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• eggs - 2 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• flour - 5 c
• butter - 1 c
• soda - 2 tsp
• pinch of salt - 1 item
• cream of tartar - 2 tsp
• salad oil - 1 c

How to make sugar cookies:

Cream butter and sugar. Add next 4 ingredients after measuring. Sift dry ingredients together. Mix well. Roll into balls about like golf balls. Roll ball in sugar and "smoosh" down with a fork or decorative cookie marker or bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until lightly browned on edges. Yields 5 to 6 dozen.
