Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • butter - 4 Tbsp
  • corn syrup - 2 Tbsp
  • powdered sugar - 1/4 c
  • can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk - 1 item

How to make sucre a la creme:

In an 8 to 10-cup mixing bowl, mix the Eagle Brand, the brown sugar and the corn syrup. Set microwave for 10 minutes on High and start. After 4 minutes of cooking, stop and stir well. Repeat every 2 minutes.

From now on, it is very important not to leave the microwave unattended because the mixture will overflow. To prevent this, open the door every 20 seconds or so and shake the bowl to help the mixture settle down.

When cooked, use electric mixer to incorporate the butter, the powdered sugar and the vanilla. Do not mix more than 20 seconds.

Pour the fudge into a buttered pan, 6 x 6 x 1-inch, or the equivalent. Let it set and cool, then cut. "Enjoy."
