Stuffed turkey loaf
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- water - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 3/4 c
- ground turkey - 2 lb
- tomato juice - 1/2 c
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- seasoned stuffing mix - 3 c
How to make stuffed turkey loaf:
Brown onion and celery in butter in medium hot skillet. Combine with stuffing mix, eggs and water to make stuffing. Add half of stuffing to the ground turkey, mixing well. Pat out half of the meat mixture in a two-quart loaf pan, 4 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 3-inches. Spread with stuffing and then top with remaining meat mixture. Pour tomato juice over loaf and bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours. Makes 8 to 10 servings.Recipe categories: Vegetables, Poultry, Turkey.
