How to make stuffed shells:
Shells:1 box large shells for stuffing1 (16 oz.) pkg. Ricotta cheese8 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese1/4 c. Parmesan cheese1 tsp. salt2 eggs, slightly beaten1 tsp. oregano2 tsp. parsley On medium heat, brown ground beef, garlic and onion in large pot; drain. Add crushed tomatoes and slowly stir in tomato paste. Add water and 4 remaining ingredients, stirring, reducing heat as needed. Simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Cook shells according to package directions. Drain; rinse in cold water and lay on waxed paper in single layer. Mix Ricotta, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Mix thoroughly with slightly beaten eggs and remaining ingredients. Spray a 9 x 13-inch pan with vegetable spray. Put a layer of sauce in pan. Use a spoon to fill shells with cheese mixture (approximately 30). Put more sauce on top; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake additional 10 minutes. Remove from oven; let stand for 10 minutes.Recipe categories: Pasta, Main dish, Pasta shells.
