Stuffed pepper casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 item
- cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
- cooked rice - 1 c
- ground beef lean - 1 lb
- medium peppers - 4 item
- few dashes Texas Pete - 1 item
How to make stuffed pepper casserole:
Lay cut peppers in bottom of baking dish. Mix the next 5 ingredients together. Add 4 ounces (1/2 cup) tomato sauce and a few dashes of Texas Pete. Mix well with meat mixture. Lay on top of peppers. Top with remaining tomato sauce. Bake at 350°, covered, for about 45 minutes. Remove cover and top with cheese. Bake until cheese melts.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Elbow macaroni.
