Stuffed mushrooms
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- dried basil, crushed - 1 tsp
- dry red wine - 1/3 c
- finely chopped onion - 1/4 c
- mushrooms - 48 item
- bulk pork sausage - 12 oz
- shredded Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- fine dried bread crumbs - 1/4 c
How to make stuffed mushrooms:
Clean mushrooms; remove and chop stems. In pan, cook stems, onion, garlic and butter 3 minutes or until tender. Simmer 5 minutes; set aside. In pan, cook pork and drain. Stir in stem mixture, egg, bread crumbs and basil. Cool slightly and fill caps. Top with cheese and bake at 350° for 20 to 22 minutes.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Side dish, Vegetables.
