Stuffed green peppers
Ingredients/Components
- to 6 medium green peppers - 5 item
- uncooked brown rice - 3/4 c
- lean ground beef - 1 lb
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- basil - 1/4 tsp
- oregano - 1/4 tsp
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- instant beef bouillon - 1/2 tsp
How to make stuffed green peppers:
Remove tops and seeds from pepper. In a large kettle, bring water to boil. Cook peppers 5 minutes, remove and drain. Cook rice according to package. In a skillet, brown beef and onions, drain and add tomato sauce, herbs, bouillon, salt and pepper. Stir in rice. Stuff peppers with mixture. Place in a shallow baking dish.
