Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1/2 c
  • brown sugar - 1 tsp
  • beaten egg - 1 item
  • lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 3/4 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • finely chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • cooked rice - 3/4 c
  • large cabbage leaves - 6 item
  • can condensed tomato soup - 1 3/4

How to make stuffed cabbage rolls:

Combine egg, milk, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Mix well. Add ground beef and cooked rice. Mix thoroughly.

Remove center vein of cabbage leaves, keeping leaf in one piece. Immerse leaves in boiling water until limp. Drain. Place 1/2 cup meat mixture on each large leaf. Fold in sides; roll up. Arrange in a 12 x 17 1/2-inch baking dish.

Stir together condensed tomato soup, brown sugar and lemon juice. Pour over cabbage rolls. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 1/4 hours, basting once or twice with sauce.
