- egg - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- caraway seed - 1 tsp
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- lean ground beef - 1 lb
- cooked rice - 1 c
- cabbage - 1 item
How to make stuffed cabbage:
Mix all ingredients, except cabbage. Trim off thickest part of stem from 12 cabbage leaves. Divide meat into 12 portions; wrap each in a leaf and fasten with wooden picks. Brown cabbage rolls in oil. Add contents of 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce and 1/4 cup water. Cover and cook slowly, about 45 minutes.
