Stuffed cabbage
Ingredients/Components
- hamburger - 1 lb
- cooked rice - 1/2 c
- onion - 1/2 item
- egg - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- Sauce:1 small can tomato sauce
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- raisins - 1/4 c
- chopped cabbage leaves - 1 c
How to make stuffed cabbage:
Sauce:1 small can tomato sauce3 Tbsp. vinegar2 Tbsp. brown sugar1/4 c. raisins1 c. chopped cabbage leaves Cut out core of cabbage and boil cabbage in water for 5 minutes (hole down). Pour cool water into hole. Leaves should come apart easily. Roll leaves with stuffing and close with a toothpick. Place in Dutch oven; cover with sauce and cook for 1 to 2 hours. Simmer for 1/2 hour.
