Stuffed bell peppers
Ingredients/Components
- chopped onion - 1/2 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1 item
- cooked rice - 2 c
- small cans tomato sauce - 3 item
- bell pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
- oil to brown - 1 item
- salt, pepper and chili powder - 1 item
- bell peppers, cooked - 4 item
How to make stuffed bell peppers:
In small amount of oil, brown the ground beef, chopped bell pepper and chopped onion. Add salt, pepper and chili powder to taste. Add tomato sauce and cooked rice. Cut bell peppers in half if large or use whole small bell peppers with tops removed. Scrape insides of peppers and precook slightly. Fill with ingredients and place in casserole dish. Bake in a 350° oven until hot and bubbly. Sprinkle with grated Cheddar cheese and allow cheese to melt.Recipe categories: Vegetables, Rice, Peppers.
