Stuffed bacon rolls
Ingredients/Components
- egg - 1 item
- snipped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- can sliced mushrooms, drained - 14 oz
- tomato sauce - 1/2 c
- medium onion, minced - 1 item
- slices bacon - 12 item
- soft bread crumbs 1 slice - 3/4 c
How to make stuffed bacon rolls:
Partially cook bacon, drain and reserve 2 tablespoons drippings. Set the bacon aside. Cook the onion and the garlic in reserved drippings until tender, but not brown. In a bowl, combine the egg and tomato sauce. Stir in bread crumbs, mushrooms, onion mixture, parsley, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Add the ground beef and mix well. Divide into 4 parts. Roll up meat mixture and wrap with the bacon. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Main dish, Oven.
