Ingredients/Components

  • graham cracker crumbs
  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 1/4 c
  • egg yolks - 2 item
  • cocoa - 3 Tbsp
  • honey - 2 Tbsp
  • thawed Cool Whip
  • melted butter or diet margarine - 1/3 c

How to make striped delight:

Combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, salt, egg yolks and milk; cook until thick. Cool; add butter and vanilla. Spread over chilled crust and return to refrigerator. Chill several hours or overnight.

Top with 1 1/2 cups Cool Whip (I never measure, just guess at amount). Can be served with vanilla ice cream added when ready to serve. (Omit Cool Whip if using ice cream.)

Note: Chocolate pudding may be made without the egg yolks. Also will cook nicely in microwave. Put ingredients in quart Pyrex pitcher; cover with waxed paper until gets ready to boil. Stir and watch until cooks nice and thick.
