Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- lard - 1/4 c
How to make streusel-filled coffee cake:
Streusel Mixture:1/2 c. sugar2 tsp. cinnamon2 Tbsp. flour2 Tbsp. melted butter Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder together. Cut in lard until mixture is like fine cornmeal. Blend in well beaten egg, mixed with milk. Add vanilla and beat just enough to mix well. Pour 1/2 the batter in a well-greased pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 the Streusel mixture and add remaining batter. Sprinkle remaining mixture on the top. Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.Streusel Mixture: Mix together well.
