Strawberry trifle
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 2 oz
- milk
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- prepared angel food cake - 1 item
How to make strawberry trifle:
Combine 3 tablespoons sugar, cornstarch and milk in a glass bowl; mix until smooth. Beat in egg. Microwave (High), uncovered, for 4 to 5 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens, stirring 2 to 3 times. Mix in vanilla. Cool.Microwave strawberries 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until thawed. Drain juice in a 4 cup measure; set aside berries. Add 1 tablespoon cornstarch and sugar to juice; mix until smooth. Microwave 2 1/2 to 3 minutes, until thick. Cut cake in 1-inch pieces. Makes 2 layers of cake, pudding and berries. Cover and refrigerate.
