Strawberry trifle
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- whipping cream - 1 c
- fresh strawberries - 7 item
- slivered almonds - 1/4 c
- box yellow cake mix - 1 item
- frozen strawberries - 16 oz
- box instant vanilla pudding - 1 item
How to make strawberry trifle:
Bake cake as directed in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Prepare pudding as directed. When cake is cool, cut in half, then eighths. Lay half of cake (8 pieces) in 2-quart serving bowl. Layer half of thawed strawberries, half pudding, then repeat. Chill 8 hours.Before serving: Whip cream and sugar; spread on top. Sprinkle with almonds. Decorate with fresh strawberries.
