Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- large eggs - 2 item
- sweetened strawberries - 1 item
- cream or whipped topping - 1 item
How to make strawberry sponge cake:
Set the oven at 410° to preheat. Grease and flour an 8 x 10-inch pan. Sift together the salt, baking powder and flour. Place the eggs in a mixing bowl and beat vigorously until very thick and lemon colored.Gradually beat in the sugar. Fold in flour mixture until blended. Fold in the vanilla. Spread in the greased pan with a spatula. Bake for 13 minutes or until the cake springs back when touched. Cool. Cut into squares and top with berries and cream.
