Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • honey - 2 Tbsp
  • ground cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
  • heavy whipping cream - 1 c
  • fresh strawberries, washed and hulled - 1 lb
  • grated nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
  • Port wine - 3 Tbsp
  • apple cider or juice - 1 c

How to make strawberry soup:

In processor, puree strawberries thoroughly. Add cider or juice, cinnamon, honey, sugar and nutmeg.

Just prior to serving, whisk in cream and wine. Serve in chilled clear glass bowls and garnish with strawberry slices and sour cream.
