Strawberry shortcakes
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- chilled whipping cream - 3/4 c
- margarine, melted - 3 Tbsp
- Bisquick mix
- sliced strawberries, sweetened - 1 item
How to make strawberry shortcakes:
Heat oven to 425°. Mix Bisquick, sugar, margarine and milk until soft dough forms. Gently smooth dough into ball on cloth covered board, dusted with Bisquick. Knead. Roll dough 1/2-inch thick, cut with 3-inch cutter dipped in Bisquick. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes. Beat whipping cream in chilled bowl until stiff. Split shortcakes. Spoon strawberries between halves and on tops. Top with cream.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Strawberry.
