  • sugar - 1 c
  • cream cheese - 8 oz
  • pkg - 6 oz
  • boiling water - 2 c
  • butter or margarine, melted - 3/4 c
  • 9 oz - 2 c
  • crushed pretzels - 2 c
  • cartons frozen strawberries - 2 oz

How to make strawberry pretzel salad:

1st Layer: Mix together crushed pretzels, butter and 3 tablespoons sugar. Press into 9 x 12-inch greased pan. Bake at 400° for 8 minutes; cool.

2nd Layer: Cream together 1 cup sugar and cream cheese. Stir in Cool Whip and spread over pretzel mixture. Refrigerate until firm.

3rd Layer: Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water. Cool and add strawberries. Chill until syrupy and pour over cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate until firm. Serves 8 to 10.
