Strawberry pretzel salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- cream cheese
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 1 Tbsp
- boiling water - 2 c
- oleo, melted - 3/4 c
- strawberry jello
- medium Cool Whip - 1 item
- pretzels, crushed - 2 c
- crushed pineapple, drained - 4 Tbsp
How to make strawberry pretzel salad:
Filling:1 (8 oz.) cream cheese1 c. sugar1 Tbsp. milk4 Tbsp. crushed pineapple, drained1 medium Cool Whip Topping:1 large pkg. strawberry jello2 c. boiling water1 (10 oz.) pkg. strawberries, partially thawed Mix first 3 ingredients and put in a 9 x 13-inch cake pan; press down and bake at 350° for 8 minutes.With a beater, mix the filling ingredients, folding in the Cool Whip last. Pour this mixture on top of cooled pretzel crust and set in refrigerator for 2 hours.
Make the jello and fold in strawberries. You may use a 20 ounce package of fresh berries and cut them up. Let stand for 10 minutes, then pour over salad. Refrigerate.
