  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • sour cream - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped walnuts - 1/4 c
  • cream of tartar - 1/3 tsp
  • lemon extract - 1/8 tsp
  • strawberry jam - 1/2 c

How to make strawberry nut bread:

Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and lemon extract until light. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Combine strawberry jam and sour cream and add alternately with dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Add walnuts. Bake in a greased loaf pan for 50 minutes at 350°. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
