  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • strawberries - 1 c
  • box strawberry jello - 1 item
  • fresh or frozen strawberries - 1 c
  • box cake mix - 1 item
  • salad oil Crisco - 1/2 c
  • Beat 3 minutes in mixer; add strawberries

How to make strawberry layer cake:

Empty cake mix and jello in mixing bowl; add oil and eggs. Beat 3 minutes in mixer; add strawberries. (If frozen berries, drain off liquid.) Beat 1 minute. Pour into 3 oiled cake pans. Bake 25 minutes at 350° or 375°. Cool before icing.Icing:1 stick margarine1 box powdered sugar1 c. strawberries Cream butter; add 1 cup strawberries (drain most of juice off). Add sugar alternately.
