Strawberry crunch
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla
- flour - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- melted butter - 1/4 c
- chopped walnuts - 1/4 c
- lemon juice
- whipping cream, whipped - 1/2 c
- frozen strawberries - 5 oz
- Filling:1 egg white
How to make strawberry crunch:
Filling:1 egg white1/2 c. sugar5 oz. frozen strawberries1 1/2 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. whipping cream, whipped1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice Crunch: In an 8 x 8-inch pan, mix flour, brown sugar, nuts and melted butter. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Stir every 5 minutes. Set aside.Filling: Beat egg whites until firm. Add 1/2 cup sugar, thawed strawberries, lemon juice and vanilla. Beat 20 minutes at high speed. Add whipped cream and fold into filling mixture with spoon. Pour on top of crunch. Freeze for 6 hours.
