Strawberry congealed salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- cream cheese - 1 (8
- pkg - 1 oz
- boiling water - 2 c
- margarine - 3/4 c
- frozen strawberries - 1 pt
- strawberry Jell-O
- large rod pretzels
How to make strawberry congealed salad:
Break pretzels; spread evenly in 9 x 13 dish. Mix 3 tablespoons sugar with melted margarine. Pour over pretzels. Bake at 350° for 8 minutes. (Pretzels should taste crunchy.)Cream the cream cheese with 1 cup sugar. Blend in Cool Whip. Spread over cooled pretzel mixture.
Dissolve Jell-O in 2 cups of boiling water. Add frozen strawberries. Allow Jell-O mixture to purely jell (start getting thick) in refrigerator. Pour slightly thickened Jell-O over cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate until firm.
