Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1/2 oz
- oil - 3/4 c
- large eggs - 4 item
- sifted cake flour - 1/2 c
- strawberries - 1/2 pkg
- strawberry gelatin
- stick soft butter - 1 item
- 2 1/2 oz - 1 white
- liquid strawberry juice and water to make 1/2 c - 1/2 c
- Drain juice and divide berries evenly, half for cake and half for icing
- juice from frozen strawberries - 1 Tbsp
How to make strawberry cake:
Allow frozen strawberries to thaw. Drain juice and divide berries evenly, half for cake and half for icing. Save 1 tablespoon juice for icing. Add water to remaining juice to make 1/2 cup. Put all ingredients in mixing bowl and beat until well mixed. Bake in 3 layers. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Icing:1 lb. powdered sugar1 stick soft butter1/2 pkg. strawberries1 Tbsp. juice from frozen strawberries Cream butter and sugar. Add strawberry juice.
