  • pkg - 1/2 oz
  • oil - 3/4 c
  • large eggs - 4 item
  • sifted cake flour - 1/2 c
  • strawberries - 1/2 pkg
  • strawberry gelatin
  • stick soft butter - 1 item
  • 2 1/2 oz - 1 white
  • liquid strawberry juice and water to make 1/2 c - 1/2 c
  • Drain juice and divide berries evenly, half for cake and half for icing
  • juice from frozen strawberries - 1 Tbsp

How to make strawberry cake:

Allow frozen strawberries to thaw. Drain juice and divide berries evenly, half for cake and half for icing. Save 1 tablespoon juice for icing. Add water to remaining juice to make 1/2 cup. Put all ingredients in mixing bowl and beat until well mixed. Bake in 3 layers. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Icing:1 lb. powdered sugar1 stick soft butter1/2 pkg. strawberries1 Tbsp. juice from frozen strawberries Cream butter and sugar. Add strawberry juice. Garnish cake with berries.
