Strawberry cake
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- cooking oil - 3/4 c
- flour, sifted - 3 Tbsp
- white cake mix - 1 pkg
- frozen strawberries - 1/2 c
- stick butter or margarine - 1 item
- eggs large - 4 item
- box powdered sugar, sifted - 1 item
- small box dry strawberry Jell-O - 1 item
- frozen thawed strawberries - 1/2 c
How to make strawberry cake:
Cake: Add flour, Jell-O, water, oil and unbeaten eggs to cake mix in a bowl. Beat 2 minutes on medium speed with mixer or beat until smooth. Add the frozen strawberries and beat 1 minutes or until mixed well. Pour into a greased and floured 9-inch layer pan. Bake in a 350° gas oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Frost with Strawberry Icing when cooled.Frosting: Cream butter and margarine until smooth. Add powdered sugar, salt and strawberries. Mix well.
