Stir-fry pork
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 2 tsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- vegetable oil - 2 tsp
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- sliced mushrooms - 1/2 c
- green onion, sliced - 1 item
- cooked rice
- sherry - 1 Tbsp
- stalk celery, sliced - 1 item
- beef broth - 1/2 c
- pea pods - 1/4 lb
- grated ginger root - 1 tsp
- boneless pork - 1/2 lb
How to make stir-fry pork:
Slice pork into thin strips about 2 inches long and 1/8-inch thick. Combine broth, soy sauce, sherry and cornstarch; set aside. Preheat stir-fry pan on high for 5 minutes. Add oil and pork; stir-fry 3 to 5 minutes, or until pork is done. Remove meat. Add celery, onion, pea pods and ginger root to pan. Stir-fry 1 minute. Add mushrooms; stir-fry 1 minute. Add 1 tablespoon water. Cover and allow to steam 1 minute, or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Stir pork into vegetables. Add broth mixture; heat until mixture becomes thick and bubbly.
