Stir-fried vegetables
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 1 tsp
- water - 3/4 c
- cold water - 2 Tbsp
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped celery - 1/4 c
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- cut broccoli - 1 c
- cut cauliflower - 1 c
- chopped chicken or pork optional - 1 1
How to make stir-fried vegetables:
Heat a large skillet or wok with oil until just begins to smoke. Add broccoli and cauliflower stems only and saute for 1 to 2 minutes. Add remaining broccoli, cauliflower, celery and onion. Stir and saute for another 2 to 3 minutes. Add soy sauce, salt and pepper. Add 3/4 cup water and cornstarch which was already added to 2 tablespoons water. Cover and allow to cook 2 to 3 more minutes. Serve over rice or noodles.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Side dish, Vegetarian.
