Ingredients/Components
- all purpose flour - 3 Tbsp
- margarine or butter - 2 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- chopped onions - 1 c
- beef broth
- A - 1/2 c
- cubed cooked steak about 1 - 3 c
- 16-oz frozen broccoli, cauliflower, carrot mixture - 1 pkg
- prepared pastry for 1-crust pie - 1 item
How to make steak pot pie:
Cook onion in margarine in 2 quart saucepan over medium-high heat until tender. Blend in flour; cook 1 minute more. Add broth and steak sauce; cook and stir until mixture thickens and begins to boil. Stir in steak and vegetables. Spoon mixture into 8-inch square glass baking dish. Roll out and cut pastry crust to fit over dish. Seal crust to edge of dish; brush with egg. Slit top of crust to vent. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Serve immediately.Recipe categories: Main dish, One Dish meal, Savory pies.
