Squash relish
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- water - 1 c
- vinegar
- celery seed - 2 tsp
- medium onions - 4 item
- green bell pepper - 1 item
- red bell pepper - 1 item
- large squash - 6 item
How to make squash relish:
Chop vegetables; cover with ice water, mixed with 1/2 cup salt. Let stand 1 hour. Drain and rinse, then drain again. Pour boiled mixture over vegetables. Put on low heat 10 to 15 minutes. Get hot, but do not boil, the last 4 ingredients. Put in hot jars and seal.Recipe categories: Squash, Appetizers, Spreads.
